 Michael Baca has broadcast nearly 2000 basketball, baseball and football games in his 18 years working for KPAY-radio in Chico, California. His enthusiastic, impassioned and spirited radio calls have made him a local favorite among Chico State Wildcat sports fans.

Baca started his radio career in Chico at KPAY-radio as intern in 1991. From there he moved onto Phoenix, Arizona where he was a producer for Mike Golic of Mike & Mike fame at ESPN radio. Baca returned to Chico in January of 1997 and has been the “Voice of the Wildcats” ever since.

He loves the Chico State Wildcats, Los Angeles Dodgers, Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Browns in that order. He eats sleeps and drinks the games and can’t get enough of watching, describing and being immersed in his favorite sports and teams.

He does have varied interests which include; poker, Vegas, historical novels, and the outdoors. Baca loves studying the Roman Empire and traveled to Italy in the summer of 2013 for the trip of a lifetime. His favorite historical figure is philosopher, orator and lawyer Marcus Tullius Cicero.

Mike resides in Chico, CA with his girlfriend Alyssa, his new son Alexander and his two loyal canine companions Riley and Trooper.
